AgentX

AgentX is a small, personal research tool. It sends single requests to public websites to measure and teach how a request travels across the internet (DNS, the home network, the ISP, transit, the CDN edge and the origin). It is also a test bed for agent authentication: a future where automated clients declare who they are, sign their requests and pay or queue for priority instead of flooding sites.

How it identifies itself

• User-Agent: AgentX/0.1 (+https://mateothegreat.ai/agent) (never a copy of another crawler's name).
• Signed requests use Web Bot Auth (RFC 9421 HTTP Message Signatures, Ed25519, tag="web-bot-auth"). The public key directory is at /.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory, key id zjhzPoJaYONR94nZTqISHkL2-2KGE8wMBveoEZv1xDE.
• Volume: one request per user action, by hand. No crawling, no retries in a loop.

How to block it

• robots.txt:

• Or block the User-Agent substring AgentX, or the key id above, at your WAF.
